Worlds Largest Solar Photovoltaic plant 750 MW to be built in Rewa Madhya Pradesh

World's largest photovoltaic plant was to be built in Rewa District of Madhya pradesh got the approval in the last week that is of the April 2015.The plant is of 750 MW Solar Photovoltaic Plant.and the plant to be developed in the three phases of 250MW each.

At present, the largest SPV plant is the Topaz Solar Farm (550 MW) in California’s San Luis Obispo county, US, which was commissioned in 2014

Main features of the SPV:

1. The plant will use the Solar energy in generating the electricity which was taken from the sun and it is estimated to be completed by March 2017.
2. The loan for the development of the Plant will be provided by the World bank
3.  The plant will provide the electricity with low cost of 5.50 per unit.
4. The project is being setup under the scheme for the development of solar parks and ultra mega solar power projects.
5. The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited will construct the grid connections and transmission lines of the solar plant.
