Arvind Gupta Ex-IFS officer appointed as Deputy NSA National security Advisor

Arvind Gupta was former Indian Foreign Service Officer was appointed as Deputy National Security Officer on 4th August 2014.
The NSA Deputy was vacant after the resignation by the Nehchal Sandhu former IPS officer of 1973 batch who was appointed as National Security Officers during UPA rule.

Gupta will also be working as the secretary of the NSCS a body that performs advisory functions for Government of India. He was presently working for the Director General for Defense studies and Analysis
