President of India presented Lal bahdur Shastri Award 2014

President of India presented Lal bahadur Shastri National Award 2014 to Dr Apathukatha Sivathanu Pillai

President of India Pranab Mukherjee presented the National Award Lal Bahadur Shastri award for the excellence of  public Administration ,academics  and management to  Dr Apathukatha Sivathanu Pillai on 7th October 2014 at Rashtrapati Bhawan New Delhi.

Dr Apathukatha Sivathanu Pillai was honoured for his outstanding contribution in the field of Aerospace and missile technology.

Pillai did his graduation in Electrical engineering from Madras university and underwent management course in Harvard university business school and obtained PHD from Pune university.He worked as the chief controller of R & D in DRDO and has also been served as the Chief executive officer at Aerospace.

The Lal Bahadur Shastri National Award is an annual prestigious award instituted from Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi. The award is presented by President of India.
