Bhutan Became 181st member of MIGA agency of World Bank on 8th Dec 2014

Bhutan on 8th December became the 181 st member of MIGA (Multi Lateral Investment Gurantee Agency ) MIGA is the political Risk Insurance and Credit Enhancement corporation.

Bhutan has been satisfied all its membership qualities in order to become the Member of the MIGA World Bank.  The membership will enhance the private sectors and corporations of the country for directly applying to the MIGA for insurance guarantee.

MIGA is the member of world bank group which aims to promote FDI in to developing countries to help support economic growth reduce poverty and improve people's lives.

• MIGA gurantee will help investors for obtaining access to ECB with improved Financial terms and conditions.
• Premium rates are decided on per project basis 
• Bhutan is now eligible for Agency's investment guarantee.
• To become a Member of the MIGA country is required to sign the MIGA Convention and deposit its instrument and ratification.
