Earthquakes in Oklahoma Due to Waste Water disposals.

Earthquakes in Oklahoma has been increased dastrically due to the waste water disposal by the oil and Gas industry waste waters. This was revealed due to the study of Cornell University researchers which was being led by the Prof Katie Keranen.

This study of earthquakes has been published in the journal science on 3rd July 2014. And according to the study led by the prof Katie the waste waters which was being released by the Oil and Gas industry is directly being injected to the ground called disposal well and these wells being operating at very high volumes creates Hazards.

Researchers also noticed that 20 percent of the earthquakes in the Oklahoma revealed that Earthquakes are caused due to the waste water release from the Industries in to the Wells. and in the 2011 the Oklahoma suffered from the biggest earthquake of about 5.6 magnitude.
