Former CJI P sathasivam was appointed as Governor of Kerala on 3rd September 2014
Former Chief Justice of India Palaniswamy sathasivam was appointed as the new governor of Kerala on 3rd September 2014. After the president accepted the resignation of Shiela Dikshit from her office P Sathasivam was appointed as the Governor of Kerala.
The First Chief Justice of India who has been appointed as the governor of Kerala this was the first appointment of Chief Justice who was of 65 years old. Sathasivam was the 40th Chief Justice of India and also he was a non political person . Sathasivam was the 10th person to hold the Governor post in different states.
